Sliding rails with a cable-management arm (CMA) for 1U and 2U servers. Rails are not merely about holding the server in the rack. Sliding rails let you pull a running server halfway out and swap a drive, a fan or a DIMM while it keeps working. Without rails — or with fixed ones — every service job means powering down, unplugging everything and lifting the whole machine out. The CMA keeps power and network cables on a tidy path so they are not dragged or unplugged as the server slides. That is the difference between “a two-minute drive swap” and “an accidental outage on a different server in the same rack”. Measure your rack depth before ordering. These fit a standard 19-inch rack of 60–100 cm depth; a shallow rack will not take them. Compatible with Gen8 / Gen9 / Gen10 / Gen11.
