HPE High-Performance Fan Kit

The high-performance fan kit — the constant companion of the high-performance heatsink. Chassis airflow is what makes a heatsink work; a large heatsink behind weak fans is just hot metal. HPE pairs the two for that reason — in high-power configurations both are required. Three situations call for this kit: · A processor above 135 W (any upper-range Gold or Platinum). · A fully populated drive cage — 24 SFF drives generate real heat and also narrow the air path. · A server GPU, which has no fan of its own and depends entirely on chassis airflow. If the server lacks sufficient fans, iLO reports “Fan Redundancy Lost” and some configurations will not boot at all. The fans are hot-plug and swap without powering the server down. Compatible with Gen9 / Gen10 / Gen11.
