Overview

The Basic Carrier (BC) — the Gen10-and-later design. With ProLiant Gen10, HPE changed the caddy: a lighter body and a relocated status LED. The consequence is that the older Smart Carrier **will not seat in a Gen10 bay**, and vice versa. This is the single most common server-parts ordering mistake: someone buys Gen9 drives in their existing carriers for a Gen10, the box arrives, and none of the drives go in. Check the server generation before ordering — not the drive model. Fits DL360/DL380 Gen10 and Gen11. Supplied new. Compatible with Gen10 / Gen11.
