About Unix Timestamp Converter

Frequently asked questions
Is my number in seconds or milliseconds?
A current timestamp is ten digits in seconds and thirteen in milliseconds. JavaScript gives milliseconds while PHP and most databases give seconds; mixing them up shifts your date by a factor of a thousand.
What is the year 2038 problem?
Systems storing timestamps in a signed 32-bit integer overflow in January 2038. Modern 64-bit systems are not affected.
Why store times in UTC?
Time zones and daylight saving shift, UTC does not. Store in UTC and convert to the user local time only at display time.
