The DL360p Gen8 delivers the DL380p's budget value in 1U; ideal for network services, firewalls and space-tight environments on a limited budget.
Sometimes you need a small, cheap, space-saving server that just does one or two specific jobs reliably: a software firewall or router, a DNS/DHCP server, a monitoring node or a test environment. The DL360p Gen8 is exactly that; dual Xeon E5 v1/v2 sockets and DDR3 in a slim 1U chassis at the lowest possible price.
Despite the small size, it still has full iLO 4 management and a RAID controller, so you can run it entirely remotely. For anyone stepping into servers for the first time or on a very tight budget, this is the cheapest way to own a real 1U enterprise machine.
