Overview
The NVIDIA Tesla P4 8GB GDDR5 is a server accelerator with 8 GB of memory and a 75 W power envelope, for HPE ProLiant Gen9 / Gen10 servers.
Server cards have no fan of their own: the chassis airflow cools them. That is also why you cannot drop in a desktop graphics card and expect it to survive.
Main uses: machine-learning inference, video transcoding and virtual-desktop hosting. Training large models needs higher-tier cards.
Before ordering, confirm your chassis has the GPU airflow kit and enough power headroom; some configurations require a larger power supply and the high-performance fan kit.
